Vermont has no shortage of stunning proposal spots. Here are some of my favorites and I'm always happy to help you find somewhere that's uniquely yours. But before we get too far, what makes a good spot?

What makes a good proposal location?

• The best spots are often places with significance to your relationship, such as where you first met, had a first date, or a favorite travel destination.

• Consider your partner’s comfort level regarding privacy and choose a setting that allows for a smooth, surprising, and visually appealing experience, whether it’s a private spot or a scenic, busy location

• Do you think your partner would like to be dressed up or do you think something more casual wold be ok?

It’s no secret why this town is so beloved. Whether you pop the question on a snowy trailside up at Stowe Peak , take a summertime walk to the Moss Glenn waterfall or beside a warm glowing fire at The Von Trapp Lodge you just can’t go wrong here!

Shelburne Farms

The lakeside barn and stunning grounds of Shelburne Farms are pure magic at golden hour. Oh and let’s not forget about the adorable sheep and cows.

BURLINGTON, VERMONT

The Waterfront & Church Street

Perhaps you’ve noticed as you explore this site, I have a soft spot for Lake Champlain. There are too many unbelievable spots to count to get down on one knee. Vermont’s most breathtaking natural canvas stretching out behind you and your favorite person as you ask that famous four word question, had to imagine a better spot.

SOUTHERN VERMONT

Hildene & Manchester

Classic Vermont charm. White church steeples, covered bridges, quaint Inns, and rolling hills in every direction. Also the home of Orvis, so if you fly fish… let’s go.

No hiking or skiing required for this one! If your dream is to propose – or be proposed to, on top of a mountain but you don’t want to be a sweaty mess…I’ve got an extensive list of epic Vermont mountain tops that you can get a lift to any time of the year.
