It’s not until recently I started posting photos of myself. (Yes, I hate having my photo taken too!) Over the years I’ve gotten pretty good at the “guess who I’m meeting for coffee game”. Hint: it’s usually the couple that is whispering to each other in the doorway “I’m not sure what she looks like.” So, it dawned on me, perhaps it’s time to post a picture and say “hi!” and maybe share a few things too; I am a small town girl from upstate New York, living in a 1870’s farmhouse in Burlington, Vermont with my husband and our two rescue pups. And there is currently three jars of opened pickles in my fridge…

I am lucky enough to make my living doing my passion, capturing special moments for great people.

I so often I hear at the start of a photo session, “I hate having my picture taken!” Well… of-course you do! (Me too!!)

When you’re little, the usual way we were all prepped to for the family photo or picture day started with your Mom making you wear some ugly itchy sweater, standing in front of a weird backdrop, while a photographer coaxed you to “say cheese!” Leaving your face all squinched up and not at all flattering. I promise, I won’t ask you to say cheese! (Unless you really want me to!) And at the end of our portrait session together you might even say, “That was fun!”

My goal is to take a natural, stress-free and unobtrusive approach to creating heirloom imagery for you and your family. From a casual family portrait near the shoreline of Lake Champlain to the last moment of your wedding day as your friends and family fill your dance floor with one last group hug-n-sway, I love to photograph you in honest, meaningful settings that convey the essence of who you are and what you love. I’ve worked hard to create a process that makes sure the entire process is stress-free from start to finish, with the end result being beautifully crafted photo prints and products to be treasured for many years to come.
