Practicing this weekend's cocktail for special visitors.I've been working on this for two weeks and it's almost ready.
Strawberry Basil Watermelon Margarita
I've been dreaming about eastern strawberries. Unfortunately for us in northern Vermont they are super late this year. So, after Alicia and Ryan's wedding in Middletown, CT I stopped at @jillybeansfarmstand on the way back North and picked up 3 quarts!! 2 of them actually made it back to Vermont!! I put one in a ball jar with taquilla to enfuse and ate the rest.
I jucied and cheese cloth stained a whole watermelon (which took forever, but totally worth it.) and made up some yummy basil simple syrup. Might need a candies basil leaf. What do you think?
