WEDDING PHOTOS

I’ve realized a wedding day is like a snowflake. They’re always different, perfect and fleeting. I don’t take it lightly when you entrust me to capture your day. It’s such an honor and privilege when couples ask me to photograph their wedding. Honestly, I do a little happy dance every time! … Really!

We remember life as a string of big events; epic happenings that define our lives and live on in family stories. Weddings are no different – the main focus in wedding planning is on the defining events – that first look, the first kiss, cutting of the cake, father-daughter dancing, the bouquet toss. But what about the moments in-between? The tiny, serendipitous small things that happen without planning, just from a room full of love; a small touch, a smiling face, a kind word – in-between the big events. These moments are what I live to capture. The moments that are often overlooked, but together make up the very emotional essence of your perfect wedding day.

These moments are incredibly special and so fleeting (the snowflake thing again..). I strive to give them life and the importance they deserve. Moments you may have missed at first, but look back on later in photographs and cherish. It give me so much joy when I hear, ” I didn’t even know you took that photo!” 

And now that you’ve read this far, I’m going to tell you a little secret. Ready?…   I’ve cried at every wedding I’ve photographed. Why Norman Stauffer hasn’t received a Nobel Prize for his invention of auto focus I’ll never understand.
